PLA is also completely degradable (it can be decomposed into water, carbon dioxide, and methane by microorganisms existing in nature.

Compostable.

Compostable plastic bags can be degraded by naturally conditions and are ultimately completely degraded into carbon dioxide (CO2) and/or methane (CH4), water (H2O) etc.

Kraft Paper.

Kraft paper is brownish yellow and has a wide range of uses, and is often used to make paper bags. The thickness ranges from 80 g/m2 to 120 g/m2. Kraft paper has high burst resistance and can withstand greater tension and pressure without breaking.

PLA.

Polylactic acid (PLA) is one of the biodegradable plastics. Its raw materials come from renewable plant fibers, corn, agricultural products, etc.

PLA has excellent mechanical properties, similar to polypropylene plastics, and can replace PP and PET plastics.

Structure of Compostable Packaging Bags

Outer Base Layer

The outer base layer mainly plays the role of aesthetics, printing and moisture barrier such as BOPP, PET.

Middle Barrier Layer

The barrier layer mainly plays the role of barrier and light protection such as VMPET, AL, PA.

Inner Heat Sealing Layer

The heat sealing layer is in direct contact with the packaged items, and plays the role of adaptability, permeability resistance, good heat sealing strength such as PE, CPP, VMCPP.
